Meet Ms. Kim
Kim Jensen
Founder, Teacher
Ms. Kim shares her passion for the art of living by providing workshops and experiences across food, crafts, sewing, dramatics, and musical arts - all
rooted in ancient ways.
California-born and raised, Kim grew up on a NorCal farm learning how to grow food, prepare staples from the harvest and care for the animals. This upbringing gave her a real connection with nature that she mixes into her programming. In summer the Artful gardens provide ingredients for their ancient weekly menus from Egypt, South Korea, Greece, India, Peru and Mexico.
When Ms. Kim is not producing our workshops, she runs a design and photography studio that specializes in food, fashion, humanitarian issues, civil rights, and education.
Kim also operates Broth and Stone a Korean-style kitchen and workshop in the Hampden neighborhood of Baltimore where she lives with her two children Izzy and Emmett, and their cat Ginger.

Growing up on a farm I had a unique opportunity to connect with nature... climbing trees, playing in the creek, being with the animals and growing food with my family. I learned that I could make anything we needed.
Later I went to design school and began a life designing all kinds of things. ArtfulKids is the mix of my two worlds - art and making. I often describe it as Sound of Music meets Andy Warhol, with a multi-cultural twist of course! I invite you to come and see the beauty for yourselves.
